About Stackrise

Stackrise is a one-tap stacking game. A block slides back and forth above the tower; tap, click or press Space to drop it. Whatever hangs over the edge is sliced off and falls away, and the tower carries on with what is left. Miss completely and the tower falls. Your score is the height.

The skill is in the timing. Drop within a hair of perfect and the block snaps into place with a chime that climbs a scale as your streak grows. Four perfects in a row and the block begins to grow back toward full size, which is the only way to recover from earlier slips. The slider speeds up a little with every block.

The sky climbs with you. A run starts at dawn, passes through noon and dusk, and by sixty blocks you are stacking under stars. Each tower picks its own colour wheel, so no two runs look the same. Best height, perfect count and games played are saved in your browser, and your best height goes to the shared Top 10 under your player name.

It is an original TabSpawn arcade game drawn on a canvas with no framework: isometric blocks with shaded faces, falling offcuts with physics, perfect-drop rings and a sky painted every frame. It runs on a phone, a Chromebook or a laptop and a game lasts as long as your nerve.

How to play

  1. Tap the screen or press Space to start. The first block slides across the base.
  2. Tap when the sliding block lines up with the one below. The overhang is cut off.
  3. Aim for perfect: a near-exact drop snaps into place and chimes. Chain four and the block grows back.
  4. Keep going until a block misses entirely. Your height is your score; beat your best.

Tips

  • Watch the slider's turnaround: it is slowest at the ends and fastest over the centre.
  • Listen as much as you look. The perfect chime rises with the streak, and silence means a cut.
  • When the block gets small, go for perfects only. Four in a row buys back size.
