About Gridbloom
Gridbloom is a free block puzzle game in the style everyone has on their phone, built for the browser with no download and no ads. Three blocks wait in a tray under an 8x8 grid. Drag one onto the grid wherever it fits; when a row or column fills up it blooms away and the space is yours again. Place all three and the tray refills. The game ends when nothing in the tray fits anywhere.
Scoring rewards planning over speed. Every cell you place is a point, a cleared line is worth ten times the square of the lines cleared together, and clearing on consecutive turns multiplies the bonus. A double clear on a combo of three is worth more than a dozen careless placements, which is why the big 3x3 square and the five-long bar matter so much.
There is no timer and no energy. The pieces are weighted so small shapes are common and the giants are rare, and the tray is dealt so at least one piece fits when it arrives. Your best score and lines cleared are saved in your browser, and your best game goes to the public Top 10 under your TabSpawn player name.
It is an original TabSpawn game, drawn on a canvas with no framework, so it loads instantly and plays with a finger on a phone or a mouse on a laptop or Chromebook.
How to play
- Drag any block from the tray onto the grid. It must land entirely on empty cells; a ghost shows where it will go.
- Fill a complete row or column to clear it. Lines that will clear light up while you hold the block over them.
- Clear more than one line at once, or on consecutive turns, for bonus points and a combo multiplier.
- When all three blocks are placed, the tray refills. Keep space open for the big pieces.
- The game ends when no block in the tray fits. Press the restart button or R for a new game.

Tips
- Keep one corner clear for the 3x3 square. It is the piece that ends most games.
- Clear with long bars, not small pieces: a five-long bar that finishes a row also keeps the tray moving.
- Edges first. Blocks placed in the middle fragment the board; blocks placed along the sides leave straight lanes.
