About Dusk Duel

Dusk Duel is a free 2 player fighting game that runs in the browser, set in a quiet courtyard at the end of the day. You pick one of three fighters, Raven for speed, Onyx for balance or Ember for weight, and settle the round with punches, kicks, guards, dashes and specials that draw on an energy meter.

The rhythm is easy to learn and slow to master. Strings of hits build combos, a well timed guard catches an attack and opens a counter, and takedowns change your rival's footing when the exchange stalls. Rounds are short, so a rematch is never far away.

There is no account and nothing to install. Warm up against the AI straight from the page, or create a private room and send the link to a friend; when they open it in their own browser the online match begins. Keys can be remapped, touch controls appear on phones, and gamepads are picked up automatically.

How to play

  1. Enter a fighter name and choose Raven, Onyx or Ember.
  2. Press "Warm up against the AI" to practise, or "Create a private room" to play a friend.
  3. Copy the room link and send it. The match starts when the second player opens it.
  4. Use the Controls panel to see or change the key layout, and turn sound on if you want the music.

Tips

  • Guard first, then answer. A caught attack is the safest opening for a counter.
  • Watch the energy meter. A special with an empty meter is a wasted turn.
  • Ember hits hard but recovers slowly; keep dashing out of range and punish the whiff.
