About Apex Rider
Apex Rider is a free first-person motorcycle game in 3D. You sit behind the handlebars on a coastal highway, with working rear-view mirrors and a digital dash, and thread your way through cars and trucks at speed. Every close pass above 90 km/h scores a bonus, and passes chained within five seconds multiply up to five times, so the best runs are the ones that ride a little closer to the edge.
There are three ways to ride. Endless ends at the first collision. Time attack gives you ninety seconds, and a collision costs five of them. Free ride has no clock and no crashes, for learning the bikes and enjoying the road. Three motorcycles differ in top speed, acceleration and handling, and three atmospheres change the whole look: golden hour, after hours under street lights, and a storm chase on wet, reflective asphalt.
Hold W or the up arrow for throttle, steer with A and D or the arrows, brake with S, and hold Shift or Space for nitro. B switches between low and high beam, which matters at night and in the rain. On phones and touchscreens the game shows its own buttons for gas, brake, steering and nitro; landscape gives the widest view of traffic.
Everything runs in the browser with WebGL and nothing to install. A graphics setting trades reflections and shadows for speed on older laptops and phones. Your personal best is kept on your device, and your best endless or time attack score goes to the TabSpawn Top 10 under your player name.
How to play
- Pick a mode (Endless, Time attack or Free ride), an atmosphere and a motorcycle, then press Let's ride or Enter.
- Hold W or the up arrow to accelerate, steer with A and D or the arrows, and brake with S or the down arrow.
- Hold Shift or Space while accelerating for nitro. It recharges over time.
- Pass close to traffic above 90 km/h for bonus points; chain close passes within five seconds for up to five times the bonus.
- On a phone, use the on-screen GAS, BRAKE, steering and N2O buttons. Turn the phone sideways for a wider view.
Controls
| W / up arrow | Accelerate |
|---|---|
| S / down arrow | Brake |
| A D / left right arrows | Steer |
| Shift / Space | Nitro (while accelerating) |
| B | Low or high beam |
| H | Horn |
| P / Esc | Pause |
| M | Sound on or off |
Tips
- Speed is only worth it if you can see the gap. Use the high beam at night and in the storm to read traffic earlier.
- Close passes pay more than raw distance. Hold your line beside a car rather than swerving wide around it.
- Save nitro for open stretches. Hitting a gap at full boost leaves no time to correct.
